Membership of the Society

Membership of the Society is open to all.  The Society exists to bring together all who are interested in family history research, to help in the preservation and indexing of local genealogical records, and in the copying and publishing of such records.

Members receive our quarterly journal, in which articles, interests, letters and queries are among the items included.  Contributions to the Journal are submitted by members and the Journal is particularly useful to our distant and overseas members whose queries and correspondence are always welcome.

Members have free access to the Research Room in the National Justice Museum in Nottingham.

Members have free access to the Monthly meetings in the Nottinghamshire Archives in Nottingham.

The current subscription rates can be found here.

Members who are U.K. tax-payers are earnestly requested to participate in the Gift Aid scheme. This will enable the Society to reclaim tax for each subscription paid in this way, and will thus be of great benefit.

Membership details are kept on computer for the purpose of producing journal address labels and for use in Member’s Interests searches. Any objection to this should be made in writing to the Membership Secretary.
